How to Eat your Spirulina

Add 1-3 tablespoons of spirulina to a glass of cold water for the best green drink you've ever had.

It tastes like water (or pretty darn close to it)!

Spirulina's taste is close to nothing with a buttery texture and a umami aftertaste when harvested fresh. It resembles blended avocado and can be added to any food for protein, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and more. It adopts the taste of any food that it is added to (and is a wonderful way to replenish electrolytes). Spirulina has a beautiful color that turns your food incredibly green! Refrigerated spirulina lasts for 1-2 week and frozen spirulina can last up to a year.
